It all started when I stepped onto a yoga mat; when I became aware of myself in a new way; when I began connecting with Spirit and Purpose. The love affair with mySelf and the transformational journey has been going on ever since. That was over 20 years ago.

I arrive in my life today after many years of incredible learning, healing and growing; some intentional, some not; some joyful, some painful, all purposeful. Practicing and teaching yoga was at the heart of my journey. As I grew, my passion to help myself and others navigate this precious gift of life grew too. Life Coaching has given me a way to honor my purpose even more fully. All those years of learning to engage an individual’s mind, body and soul while on the yoga mat serve me and my clients well when I step into the role of ‘coach’ off the mat.

I know what it’s like to move through the messy experiences of life. I know what it’s like to be sucked down in to the deep dark muck. None of us are unique in that. We’ve all been there. We can either choose to curl up and die or plant our roots in the darkness and move steadily toward the light. I chose to rise like the lotus does. I choose this over and over again. This is what I wish for each of you.

In 2000 I completed my first 200 hour training with Mark Blanchard’s Power Yoga, adding to my teaching skills another 200 hour training in the tradition of Anusara in 2008.  These 400 hours, combined with a multitude of workshops and continuing education over the years, continue to expand and grow me as a forever student of yoga, and an 18+ years experienced teacher.  My wanting to serve my family, community, and the world as a whole brought me to Off the Mat Into the World’s program.  I have completed their Yoga in Action Leadership Training in December 2010, as well as their Advanced Leadership Training in November 2014.

I owned my own studio for four years, then taught at said studio (Namasté Yoga Center) until it closed several years later.  I then took my teachings and passions to another couple of studios where I enjoyed the communities immensely.  In total, I taught in the yoga studio arena for 17 years.  In the spring of 2017 I decided to take an indefinite break from regularly scheduled studio classes and turn my attention to specialty populations that I feel drawn to.  Primarily my work, currently, is with teens/tweens and survivors of domestic violence.  I am also loving teaching workshops at studios and companies, or to small groups, that feel connected to my work.

I have completed two separate Coach Training curriculums as well as another incredible Leaderhip Training.  I have been loving my new role as “coach” over these past two years.

December 2014 – March 2015 ~ Coach Training Alliance – Yoga2Life Coach Training and certification

March 2015 – December 2015 ~ Coaches Training Institute (CTI) – Leadership Program

February 2016 – June 2016 ~ Coaches Training Institute (CTI) – Coach Training Program

I am a leader in my community; not because I have completed CTI’s year long Leadership program, or because I completed OTM’s Leadership Trainings (although these have been incredibly impactful for me); but because I choose to be a leader, in all aspects of my life, every day.  I would love nothing more than to “lead from beside” you as you create the life you want and deserve.

My training with Off the Mat Into the World and my love to serve, in the community and abroad, inspired me to become the Seva Ambassador for the communities I’ve been a part of over the past 6 years.  I have loved sharing in many beautiful experiences, and I look forward to what’s to come!

Connecting on a deeper level with groups is something I know to be a powerful experience.  Check the Workshops and Retreats page for a look at what is coming locally and abroad.

I also have a deep passion for growing the next generation into a more conscious collective. I think many of us understand that something’s got to change or we are all in serious trouble here on planet Earth.  So along with raising my own daughters in a more conscious way, I’ve created workshops for teens that will inspire them to get more curious about how they want to show up in the world, and to support them in making their dreams a reality.  Please contact me if you have a group that you’d like to support in this way.  I’d be honored to lead them in this way.

Well…I love nature, photography, reading, travel, adventure, laughter, my family (furry members included) and friends.

I suppose that’s me in a nutshell.  Now…what about you?  How can I be in service of your (re)discovery? Let’s collaborate and create a life more fulfilling than you could have imagined!!  Contact me below…
